My husband, Ted and I decided to work on conceiving our third child. We knew from the start that we did not want to go the route of the hospital and OB/GYN this time. Once I was pregnant, I did some research on midwives and found several that I would have considered. The week I was ready to start interviewing only one midwife made herself available. So that is when I met Donnellyn. I immediately felt comfortable and we talked for a long time. I had some emotionally difficult issues in my past but Donnellyn was very understanding. She was very comforting on the rough days and happy with me on good days. My labor and delivery was smooth and easy. I felt very secure knowing Donnellyn was there to coach us through it all. The thing that impresses me most is the after-care I am receiving. Sure, we had the baby’s follow up and my post-partum check-up but Donnellyn’s care goes much further. She has an amazing group of like-minded women around her. Donnellyn and these women minister to and build my spirit maybe without realizing it. I feel like Donnellyn has invited me into this family of caring women when I needed it most. I really feel that God has set Donnellyn in my path so that I could see it again.
